The owner Michael Mitchell, also uses aliases Mike Urich, and Michael Urich. In June 2013 this company and Michael Mitchell visited my home three times and contracted with me to do repair my roof and paint my home for $12960. Though I usually would never pay more than 25% of contract value up front, I let him convince me that, with all the equipment needed, to pay $6000 (or ~50%). After I cut the check, I ever saw him again.
I tried contacting the company more a half a dozen times with no response. I investigated the company before signing the contract. Here is my email to Mike prior to signing: “Concerning Roofing:
I didn’t see you listed with the BBB: http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/accredited-business-guide/roofing-contractors/347/. How come? With 25 years in the business, I’m surprised there is so little info on “Central Roofing” — references, complaints, etc..
I did find your website: http://centralnjroofing.com/ and it appears that you’re listed with your Chamber of Commerce: http://www.chamberofcommerce.com/marlton-nj/37021681-central-roofing/.
Do you have any references I can call on concerning quality of work?”
I was under time pressure to get this work done and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t pay attention to my intuition and all the signals.
I urge you to contact your county’s police department to file a theft / fraud case. You must be persistent.
I believe this is the same individual related to this complaint: http://ripoffscams.com/reports-filed/allied-commercial-roofing/orlando-florida/allied-commercial-roofing-michael-urich-allied-roofing-jumps-from-state-to-state-to-rip-people-off-dallas-texas/641282/
I also recommend that you contact Steve Hirschbuhl at 856-374-6002. He works for the Camden County Consumer Protection and may be of assistance to you.
