I started on a website to assist senior citizens with email problems. I was linked to Eric Hill who changed the problem from my email to the slowness of my PC. He said he would fix that for a price which started at $300 and when I told him that was too much, he got his supervisor to knock off $100 and I could pay the $100 at that time (before he fixed it), and I could pay the remainder at when I could.
He all but cleared my desktop includinguninstalling programs which I needed and when I called him back, he did restore the files that he sent to my recycle bin. Then he told me to go online and see if the problems were resolved and to give him a call back the next day. When I called him the next day, I could not get hold of him.
That’s when I realized for sure that I had been scammed. I called again a couple days later and he answered the phone. I told him of the problems again and he made the excuse that he needed to transfer to his headsetand would call me right back. He never called me back.
On my bank statement, Fix My PC was stated as the company. When I went to their website, store locations did not include Draper, UT.
