I ordered a viper 791xv alarm system and directed essentials immobilizer in october, promptly had it installed at a local circuit city, the install manager said that the alarm was defective and there was nothing he could do.
I sent the alarm back to ikesound, in which i had to pay shipping plus a 39 dollar “repair” fee, over the next 4 months the customer support kept telling me there was no updates and that no one knew where it was or when to expect it, no one was returning my emails, and my phone calls were getting me nowhere.
Finally when im able to get a hold of someone i get relay’d through 4 people to get to this “ike” person who is supposed to be the owner who speaks extremely poor English, cant understand me and tells me that the alarm has been discontinued (and i was never notified of this), and is still at viper for repair and that he has no idea when it will be back and that i should try calling back in another week.
As furious as i was, he decided to come to the agreement to send me a return lable to ship the rest of the alarm wiring (which is still installed in my car, that i would have to pay to have removed) back and he would refund the price + shipping, but still keep the 39 dollars as a “return fee” now instead of a repair fee, and refuses to refund it.
This isnt the first time iv ordered from this company and anytime iv had to call customer support they always seem so inconvenienced to have to talk to me, and respond very slowly or not at all to emails.
I will never order from this company again, and urge others to think twice about placing a first order, spend a few extra dollars and order safely from an established business such as www.woofersetc.com or www.millionbuy.com who have both had extremely fast and reliable support more then willing to help.
