Ride Auto Sales insists upon offering their version of “clean titled” vehicles when in fact, if checking the VIN with reputable historical fact finders like Auto Check from NADA, you will learn “the rest of the story” and the truth!
Case in point: Ride (or should we say “taken for a Ride”) Auto recently offered/is currently offering on craigslist a 2009 2500 Silverado HD truck w/251,000 miles on the clock for $14,995 with the VIN: 1GCHK59689E139519 and a supposed “clean” title status. When cross checking the VIN # with Auto Check, it turns out that this vehicle has had structural damage to the frame/body and was sold at auction with the anouncement that “this vehicle has structural damage” before Ride bought it. It is now being offered by Ride as a “clean titled vehicle”!?!
What about “full and honest disclosure”? Is Ride being deceptive or what. If an average Joe like me can turn up a skunk this easy, what about the unsuspecting guy who does not access Auto Check for the real story?
Do your homework people, and avoid ripoff artists like Ride Auto Sales…
