We bought a king size sealy posturepedic mattress for $1,600 in August ’06 and they said this mattress has a 20 yr manufacturer warranty. Right when we had this mattress delivered in August ’06 we found that both me and my husband had been getting lower back pains and so we called sleepy ‘s with in 2 weeks of purchase and after a really long battle they agreed to replace it. Also they waived the shipping fees again after a very long fight.
The mattress that they replaced was fine until around Mar/Apr ’07 and we started to have the same kind of back
pains as experienced before. We regularly rotate the mattress as adviced. WE have a protective cover over the mattress and so there are no stains or scratches or anything else in the mattress. We called sleepys
again on this issue and they had an inspecter who came over to our house to inspect the mattress. He did some measurements with his scale and told us that the support of the bed is all perfect and its the mattress
thats faulty and we would receive a call from sleepys on the report.
But today(07-25-07) i recieved a call from Sleepys and they say that the sag is 1 1/4 of an inch and it needs to be a1 1/2 of an inch of a sag for them to replace it. But my problem is that both me and my husband seem to be having very severe back pains and also i had been having this stiffness in the shoulder and neck area lately because of the mattress. But sleepys is unwilling to replace it. We are not happy to pay so such for that mattress and wake up with a back pain.
We find it unfair and the customer service agent that spoke to me and the person that spoke to my husband were both extremely rude and aburpt and very harsh and totally unfriendly
Please beware of sleepys and never buy anything from them. I wish i had researched about sleepys much earlier and i would have saved myself some time and money and good health
