I fell in love with a puppy on this site after months of searching. What I wanted was a teacup Maltese. They explained on their site the difference in sizes and when speaking on the phone. They told me the size was determined by careful calculations on charts of previous pups, now grown, which was a good indication of the weight I could expect. Price, by the way, is according to size.
Because the pup I wanted was 3500.00, and I am not able to spend that kind of money for a dog, I financed it, bringing the total price to 4707.00 in total, including airline flight, stroller and playpen ordered from their site. However, a year later, it was too late to take any action.
I was told repeatedly that this pup would weigh 3-4 pounds max over and over. Folks, my boy is now 7 pounds, and to be honest I am in love with him. I would never give him up. The point is, I wanted a 3-4 pound dog and paid for such, and what I got is a giant Maltese. I could have paid 400.00 for a 7-pound dog. I see they have pups for 20,000.00. It scares me to think someone would pay that much for a “purse puppy” only to end up holding a suitcase!
The people were great to deal with, and my Chip was sent promptly. He is healthy as can be. I am thankful for that, but honestly when I called to report my “giant,” I was told there was no guarantee what size a dog would become, so what is all the price differentiation about?
I will never have the money to own the small pup I wanted to purchase, so I was scammed with no attempt to make good.
