Fiverr – BAD BAD BAD!
Run away from this platform! Everything that you read here is true! It’s so bad that I don’t even know where to start. Most of the people are scammers and are in desperate need of money. I attempted 3 times from August 11,2022 to September 25,2022 to have a customized Wordpress website built. Each time it was a horror story. The 1st seller had no clue about what he was doing. He just kept stringing me along till the deadline. He claimed to know about coding. He started the order and went on holiday, then tried to get paid without ever completing the job. Luckily I was on to him from the very beginning. He claimed to be “working on the website” and removed the extension date just one day before the deadline in order to get paid. But I caught him. Then had the nerve to say “I don’t know how that happened”. When I looked at the order it clearly stated that he canceled the extension.
The 2nd seller was worse than the first. He had absolutely no clue or any real coding skills. He tried to make a drag and drop website that was just atrocious! And after 5 days I could see we were going nowhere. He politely cancelled the order because he didn’t have the skills to create the look I desired.
The 3rd asked for even more money than the first two. Saying, “ you need to pay more money to get good work”. Lol! What a joke. That was just a scam. He wasn’t able to follow a detailed pdf document of how I wanted my website customized. Just a joke.
I opened a dispute. And this guy kept declining to close the order. Lol! I even had to contact PayPal and get them involved. Fiverr quickly refunded all of my money.
Afterwards the guy sent me threatening messages, saying “you’ll have to face consequences”.
Just stay away from Fiverr. If you want a custom website built look elsewhere.
I’m now going to save up money for a real professional. You pay more but you get better service.
It’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. I’m just going to have pay the $3000-$5000 I was avoiding to pay.
Fiverr is bad news. Just stay away. You’ve been warned.
